John Adams

John Adams was born in 1735. He was the 2nd president, a lawyer, and the 1st vice president! His son, John Quincy Adams was the 6th President! He was in office from March 4, 1797 – March 4, 1801. John Adams became an attorney when he was 23. In 1764 he married Abigail Smith. A year later he wrote a powerful speech against the Stamp Act in 1765.

After John Adams' time of being a president was up, he was depressed and moved to Peacefield, Massachussets. In 1812, he was corresponding with Thomas Jefferson. John Adams died at his home, only hours after Thomas Jefferson died. To me it is very sad because 2 FAMOUS people died that day. He is remembered as one of the best founding fathers.
