Tornadoes

You guys know that there are tornadoes over in Louisiana right? Well I'm going to talk about tornadoes today :) Tornadoes are also called cyclones, twisters, and hurricanes (tornadoes on water). They are measured by F0-F5 on their size. 5 is the strongest. Many do not have power right now. Over 9000 homes! Most tornadoes spin less than 110 mph. They go 300 mph an hour.

These things pick up dirt, debris, even water! This tornado is causing a lot of wind where we are. Its raining a lot here too. Tornadoes form in the Midwest and head over to the East. Tornadoes cause a lot of damage but kill few fortunately. I'm pretty sure these things can be seen from space. Oklahoma is the center of tornadoes. It is called Tornado Alley. Scientists still do not know the exact mechanisms by which most tornadoes form, and occasional tornadoes still strike without a tornado warning being issued. Some people chase and study tornadoes. This tornado has hit the Gulf Coast and Texas. The death toll from all tornadoes in US every year is 60.
