Frogs by Jack

Frogs are a type of animal called an amphibian. An amphibian can live in water and land. Frogs  breath through their skin. They call for mates with a croaking sound in their throat. Their skin is semi-permeable, which means they perish if on land too long. Frog eggs go through a stage of metamorphosis, they change over time into frogs. You probably know this already. Frog legs are valued as food for humans, their legs taste like mild chicken! Frogs have bright colors to warn predators like a poisonous tree frog. The biggest frogs are the size of dinner plates! These are I think Goliath Frogs or American Bull frog. Frogs have no tails, but in the metamorphic stage, they are born with tails. Some frogs even eat birds! One ancient amphibian, the Koolasuchus, was a huge, black amphibian with a large tail. This thing ate dinosaurs! Many frogs camouflage in leaves. They have almost 360 Degree eyesight and binocular vision! I'm pretty sure toads and frogs are relatives. There is something called a Golden Toad which was last seen in 1989! Sadly, this animal is extinct. Or is it?! >:-|. This toad's lifespan is unknown but its family lives up to 10-12. People in school sometimes dissect frogs to study them. I used to own 2 small frogs and you could see their intestines! It was crazy! It was crazy! You could see the stomach and other parts! The skin was transparent enough to see the inside! Frogs are amazing or slimy! You can find them almost everywhere! Except some deserts and mountains. Frogs have many ways to defend themselves. Frogs are very interesting creatures. They are awesome!
